Sportradar has declared a technological and informational alliance with the Turkish Basketball Federation.

The arrangement encompasses data gathering, anti-fraud mechanisms, and the integration of sports-oriented artificial intelligence video recording camera technology.

The agreement covers the Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL), the Turkish Basketball First League (TBL), and all cup tournaments, including the President’s Cup.

Jan Pomme, Sportradar’s Director of Sports Content and Collaborations for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, commented on the arrangement: “We are thrilled to join forces with the TBF to provide cutting-edge data, analysis, and technological solutions for Turkish basketball, aiming to further propel the sport’s development and generate new business prospects by expanding the reach of Turkish basketball to a broader global audience.”

This upcoming season, the organization will obtain global rights for all BSL and TBL games and cup contests, and local rights in the subsequent season.

Hidayet Türkoğlu, head of the Turkish Basketball Federation, stated: “In the current sporting landscape, using technology is essential. By entering into this deal with Sportradar, we will be able to utilize advanced technology to monitor the advancement of our teams and athletes.

“We are confident that our collaboration with Sportradar will have a substantial impact on Turkish basketball. This agreement will propel the growth of Turkish basketball in alignment with the objectives and vision of the Turkish Basketball Federation. I would like to express my gratitude to all those who contributed to the signing of our agreement with Sportradar.”

In June, Sportradar concluded a comparable technology-driven content agreement with ParionsSport en Ligne, the online sports betting division of French betting company FDJ. The firm recently also announced its intention to acquire payment solutions provider Aleda.
