SBOTOP Sponsors Fulham for 2023-24 Season

SBOTOP and Fulham have forged a significant jersey sponsorship agreement!

SBOTOP, a well-known wagering company, will be the primary sponsor for Fulham, a top-flight English football club, for the forthcoming 2023-24 campaign. The SBOTOP emblem will be prominently displayed on the front of the players’ jerseys and even on their training attire.

This collaboration is a major victory for Fulham, as it represents their largest sponsorship deal to date. SBOTOP is renowned for supporting elite football teams, and they have previously sponsored Leeds United.

The Chief Executive Officer of SBOTOP, Bill Mummery, is enthusiastic about the partnership, stating that it presents a fantastic opportunity to showcase both brands to a worldwide audience. Fulham’s Commercial Director, Jon Don-Carolis, shares the excitement, asserting that the sponsorship will contribute to the team’s competitiveness by generating substantial financial resources.

It’s noteworthy that certain nations have regulations prohibiting betting companies from sponsoring sports teams. The implications of this agreement in various regions remain to be observed.

Top-flight English football clubs will soon be barred from showcasing gambling company sponsorships on their jerseys. In April of this year, teams reached an agreement to cease gambling sponsorships on game-day uniforms.

The prohibition will take effect at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season. Existing arrangements with gambling operators can continue until that time, and teams are permitted to enter into new agreements with fresh partners as long as these deals are finalized before the ban comes into force.

Newly promoted Burnley FC announced today (June 28) a one-year shirt sponsorship agreement with W88. The Asia-focused company has previously collaborated with Wolves, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and Fulham in the previous season.

Earlier this month, Aston Villa inked a shirt sponsorship deal with Asia-facing gambling operator BK8. The agreement will remain in place until the end of the 2025-26 season.

However, Newcastle United has scaled back its association with offshore gambling operator Fun88. The brand has been Newcastle United’s primary partner since the 2017-18 season.
