Aruze Gaming Appoints New Senior VP of Global Operations Amidst Restructuring and Expansion

Aruze Gaming Worldwide recently appointed Betty Zhao to the position of Senior Vice President of Global Operations.

Prior to her role at Aruze, Zhao held the position of Chief Operating Officer at LT Game, a company she joined in 2007. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in establishing LT Game as a prominent gaming provider in Macau, where she oversaw both strategic initiatives and day-to-day business activities.

This strategic hiring follows a period of notable transformations for Aruze. In July 2023, Play Synergy, a subsidiary of Imperial Pacific, finalized the acquisition of Aruze Gaming Americas’ slot machine operations, encompassing both their physical and digital presence. This transaction occurred subsequent to a financial restructuring undertaken by Aruze, which involved filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier in the year.

Aruzes worldwide chief executive, Hiroki Okada, stressed the crucial importance of the organization’s reorganization initiatives, pointing to outside forces. He contends this is essential for guaranteeing the sustained expansion and solidity of Aruze. In a drive to broaden its online presence, Aruze Gaming collaborated with BetMGM in the first month of 2023, debuting four fresh and engaging slot titles on BetMGM’s system in the state of New Jersey.
